DESCRIPTION

2x Grammy Nominee Linda Chorney is, by definition, the epitome of a truly independent singer/songwriter. Like 99% of musicians out there, she chased the dream, but never inked the big record deal. After decades of slugging it out, having performed thousands of shows on all 7 continents--as a Hail Mary, Linda threw her 6th album into the Grammys--and became the first independent artist, without a label, publicist, or manager, to be nominated for Americana Album of the Year in 2012, and then did it again in 2022.

Her nominations caused an overly dramatic controversy in the industry, and Chorney handled it with grace and a few F-bombs. She spoke the truth, made 2 award winning films, and wrote 2 books.

After 40 plus years in the biz, she is on her final tour--the EPILOGUE TOUR, with her latest book, "It Ain't Over Till the Indie Sings," because she's singing, and says it's almost over. Come see her wildly entertaining one woman show, as she shares stories about her crazy, odds defying career, and performs her music, in these very special, intimate settings.

BORED

While some people found the pandemic a perfect opportunity to be productive, I managed to master gaining weight whilst being lazy and bored out of my mind. And so came one creation in

2 years...this song.

The conflict within me was feeling bored, but then feeling guilty about being bored, because at least I was healthy and comfortable, while so many were suffering. Covid Sucks Balls.

MOTHER'S LITTLE HELPER

Directed and edited by Linda Chorney. From Chorney's Grammy Nominated "Emotional Jukebox" Linda takes classic Stones song written by Jagger & Richards, and sings it as the woman getting older. This song features Lisa Fischer on back-up vocals. No animals were harmed during the filming of this video. GO TO WWW.LINDACHORNEY.COM for her music, book, films. What a drag it is getting old "Kids are different today," I hear ev'ry mother say Mother needs something today to calm her down And though she's not really ill There's a little yellow pill She goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper And it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day "Things are different today," I hear ev'ry mother say Cooking fresh food for a husband's just a drag So she buys an instant cake and she burns her frozen steak And goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper And two help her on her way, get her through her busy day Doctor please, some more of these Outside the door, she took four more What a drag it is getting old "Men just aren't the same today" I hear ev'ry mother say They just don't appreciate that you get tired They're so hard to satisfy, You can tranquilize your mind So go running for the shelter of a mother's little helper And four help you through the night, help to minimize your plight Doctor please, some more of these Outside the door, she took four more What a drag it is getting old "Life's just much too hard today," I hear ev'ry mother say The pusuit of happiness just seems a bore And if you take more of those, you will get an overdose No more running for the shelter of a mother's little helper They just helped you on your way, through your busy dying day Songwriters: RICHARDS, KEITH / JAGGER, MICK
